How to Safely Sharpen Your Knife
Safe sharpening procedure:
- Place the Redi-Edge Knife Sharpener flat side down on a table or countertop.
- Work near the edge to avoid marring the surface.
- Be sure the sharpening blades face you, as shown in the illustration.
- Grip the Redi-Edge with one hand and hold it down firmly.
- With the other hand, set the blade between the sharpeners and draw it backwards, working from rear to tip. Only light to moderate pressure is required.
- Repeat until the blade is sharp.
Once a sharp edge is established, you can easily touch it up with a few passes through the sharpener. Sure, simple, and the same sharp edge every time.
